DIY Spray Paint Organizing Station

“This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media
Group® and Rubbermaid, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #FastTrack

I love spray paint! Like really, really love it! So, I'm sure that you can imagine between my furniture hoarding (to spray paint) & my spray paint collection, I needed some organizing help desperately!

(I should be more embarrassed that I just showed you these pics)

I headed into my favorite store, Target and picked up this awesome FastTrack Organizing system by Rubbermaid.  I took one look at this product and I knew that it would work
perfectly to help me organize my chaos.

Good news-The Rubbermaid FastTrack 5 piece kit is on sale at Target for $28.99 (reg $33.99)
Sale price good through 5/18-5/24

I had an empty wall in my garage that I knew would work perfectly for my spray paint organizing station. I used a piece of peg board that I already had. I spray painted the board a bright turquoise color. I wanted this corner to be as happy as possible.  After the peg board was painted and hung, we attached the FastTrack system to the wall. I say "we" because I needed another set of hands to hold the track in place. However, if you don't hang your system up high on your wall, you could totally install it by yourself.

Once everything was hung on the wall, it was time to organize my "collection."

I used some plastic paper/magazine organizers to help me organize my spray paint.  I attached them to the peg board using some hooks made specifically for peg boards.

After my paint had a new home, I needed to find a place for my brushes, rollers, tape and drop cloths.

I used some more hooks and tool holders to attach my rollers, brushes & tape. I used another plastic magazine holder to corral my smaller items like paper towels, sanding pads and sanding blocks. It worked out perfectly!

The FastTrack system is perfect to help me keep my extension cord from becoming a knotted mess. The large hook worked out fabulously to hold my hand sander. I also hung an old vintage, metal bucket filled with my drop cloths from one of the hooks. Awesome! Did I mention that I'm kind of in love with this system? Colorful, pretty and organized...this wall is making me very, very happy!

The best part about this project...it took me about 2 hours from start to finish. Now I can't stop looking at it! Now that I can see my paint, I should be able to shrink my furniture collection. That means that I can start shopping at yard & estate sales again.
(another one of my favorite past times)

I hope that I have inspired you to organize a corner of your home!

Happy Creating!
