Vintage Globe Holiday Mantle

Yes, you read that right. I have my vintage globe collection on my mantle and who knew it would be so perfect for Christmas?!

When we moved, I had no idea that my new mantle would be the perfect home for my vintage globe collection...for like ever! I can never take them down. So, I have to come up with unique & different ways to display them. Hence my post title..

Vintage Globe Holiday Mantle

This was so easy to do, I am almost embarrassed to tell you how I did it. I'm lucky enough to have a plug on my fireplace, so it was perfect for a strand of white twinkle lights. I really love white twinkle lights. I would keep them up all year if I could.

I added some cheap evergreen garland and then filled it in with pieces of another, more real looking garland. I threw in some holy sprigs, you know, because it's Christmas.

I love garlands. Lots and lots of garlands! I am especially in love with my felted ball garlands. I got the three separate colors from BAAA wool. I made a red and white one so I could use it again for Valentines day and a plain green one so I could use it again for Spring decorating.

Then I added my globes. It's really ridiculous how much I love these globes! I needed some different heights, so I used an old chippy red bench, old books and one of my wood slice cake stands.
(I love these a lot too)

To finish it off, I added a chalkboard. I have an addiction to these as well. I am convinced that a girl can never have too many chalkboards. Chalkboards and shoes....

If you are wanting to learn how to write on your own chalkboards, I share a couple of tips that make the whole experience so much easier! You can read and watch how to do it here..

That's it. I told you it was so easy! This is my most favorite corner in my house. I love the soft glow from the lights at night. What can I say, my globes make me happy!

I would love to share more Christmas corners of my home with you on Instagram.  My user name is Sassy Style Redesign. Please leave a comment with your info, I would love to see what you are doing & creating as well.
