I love simple, totally do-able in one day projects. I also love an ice cold diet coke when I am stressed. So, it is only natural to put the two together and talk all about wallpaper.

Now, you must understand that this is not your moms or grandma’s ducks with hats and hearts border wallpaper. We so had that wallpaper in our kitchen when I was growing up. It was cool and in, so I won’t hold it against my mom.
Wallpaper has come a long way since 1986. You can find the paper in all kinds of patterns and colors. You can find paintable and textured. Really, the possibilities are endless in the wallpaper department. Yea! So, now that you know it’s cool again, I am going to tell you where you can get it, how to apply it and how much it costs! Best part, you can watch my latest episode of Sassy Style on My Craft Channel for most of the info!

A couple of links to help you out.
Lowes-the big box go to for all things wallpaper. They carry Allen Roth and I kind of have a crush on him. Anyway, some rolls are available in store (bead board, paintable and some patterns) Others are available online at lowes.com
Well, wallpaper is like anything else. You can spend a fortune, or you can spend a whole lot less and get the same look. Most of the wallpapers available at Lowes will cost you between $18-35 a roll. This is cheap! If you wanting something more designer looking-be prepared to pay more. I think that Lowes rocks with their selection, so I would look their first. Plus, if you save some money on the paper, you can spend more on the accessories! Win-win!
I redid my kitchen for $300. I used wallpaper for my back splash and the inserts of my cupboards.

I also did my basement entryway. I wanted something that would really pop in the small space, plus it would be done before my husband got home from work. The bead board wallpaper fit the bill! I am still loving the results a year & a half later.
Wallpaper rocks! Don’t be afraid! It can change your decorating world!
Happy Creating my friends!
