So, you would think after 2 weeks..

That my stupid toe would be all better, painted a fiery red color and sporty some fabulous furry, winter flip flops.
What?
You don't have furry, winter flip flops?
Why would anyone want to wear flip flops in the winter?
Have I never heard of snow?

I only wear them on the days when it's not too cold and not wet enough that I could possibly step in a puddle of any kind.

On to the reason of my whining and complaining.
I had an ingrown toenail removed 2 weeks ago. You would think after 2 weeks, I would be awesome!!!
Nope-not me.
That would be wayyy to easy!
Instead, I have a nasty, stupid, painful infection that should have been taken care of last week.Instead, it's back and worse. Thinking that tomorrow I will have to have the whole nail removed. UUGGH!

Why the heck am I posting this?
Why do you care?
Well, you probably don't.
I just wanted to let you all know that I have an extremely good excuse for my hopefully, short absence.
I don't always make a lot of sense on pain pills. I say weird things and I have a tendency to not remember what I say.

Hope to be back sooner than later. I have done some fun projects that I am dying to share!

Let this post be a reminder to all of you:
Take good care of your feet. If you don't, they will not take care of you. (ha ha, that was so lame!!)
Just remember-trim your nails straight across.
Ingrown toenails hurt way more than you would think.
Not even chocolate and diet coke can ease your pain. (it does help a little though)

So remember blogging friends:
Only you can prevent ingrown toenails and the epidemic of unpainted toenails everywhere. Do your part!

See-pain pills make me say weird things!
Wish me luck tomorrow. The Dr. made me cry last time. :(

  1. Aw, I'm so sorry to hear that! Get it taken care of so that you WILL be ready to go for SPRING flip flops! (Oh, and yes - I do have Winter flip flops, I even have proper dress shorts for the Christmas dinner table on the years when its 70 degrees, LOL)

    Take care of you!

  2. so sorry to hear about your toe! Let me tell ya-having your whole toenail removed can cause problems too! I had mine removed 6 weeks ago. I now have an infection...I do think it is getting better though. Did you know you can paint your skin? So don't worry if you don't have a nail to paint. Good Luck and by the way I love your Blog. You are sooo creative.

  3. Di is so right. You can definitely paint your skin to masquerade as a toenail. I've done it when I lost nails from running. I hope all went well with the doctor, or you at least survived.
