What all the fuss was about...

phew....
This is the first time I have sat down at my computer in days!
Were not even going to talk about how much I miss my dvr.
Don't worry though-I still had plenty of diet coke.

OK-so my life was turned upside down last Wednesday at 1:00p.m.
We (my mom and I) got a phone call from a friend who is a realtor.
She was working with a builder who had some homes in the Parade of Homes.

Now, maybe the parade is just a Utah thing-not sure.
Let me explain what this even is.
It's a 2 week show that goes on here in Utah-it is across the Wasatch Front.
The parade showcases some of the best of the best homes.
They are not only incredible in size, but the craftsmanship in these homes are second to none.
The decorating has always been awesome as well.
I have gone to the show for years-just to get ideas for my own home.

So, when we got a phone call to come in and decorate this home-we were thrilled with the opportunity.
As my friend Olive put it-It was eighty eight kinds of awesome!!

We had less than 24 hours to get this house parade worthy.
We worked our butts off!
We loved every minute of it!
The house turned out fabulous!
We have been thrilled with not only the opportunity to do this, but the sweet comments we have heard from those going through the home.

So....want to see some pictures?
First-Some of these pics are el-sucko!
The view from this home is incredible! So, their are windows all over this house-so the lighting was kind of hard.
Plus-I am definitely not a pro.
Anyway.....

                                                        Master Bedroom-Before
Again-sorry about the glare.
This master is huge!! We had quite a few large pieces in here and the room still looks and feels spacious.
Doesn't this pic. just make you want to curl up with a good book?
The laundry room is incredible. Oh how I wish it was mine!
Now it looks almost happy-right? Too bad it's only used for the most dreaded task!
This is the 2nd bedroom on the main floor.

This room also has a walkout to the incredible deck and the beautiful view!
Did I mention that I would love to live here?
The rock fireplace is so majestic and gorgeous!
We wanted to make sure that this was the focal point in the room
Love all the built In's
The study/library/office. Those stairs wind up to the bonus room.
My kids loved this space!
I think that I would almost want to cook in this kitchen.
Almost.
I used my feet pic in the bathroom.
It blends and looks perfect in here.So excited for it to live in my new-soon to be remodeled bathroom!
The best part of doing this home was the borrowing.
We were able to go to a local furniture store here: The Room Loft
and BORROW all the furniture and most of the accessories.
YEP!
We didn't have to pay for anything!
This is my kind of shopping.

If you are local-you must come up and see this home.
The builder did a fantastic job.-this is the Parade's website. The home is #22-by Remodel West

If you are going to head up there-let me know.
I would love to give you a personal tour!

I have a few more decor ideas that I have been working on.
Stay tuned tomorrow.
You will love it!

I'm off to help decorate for a wedding!
Wish me luck!
