Laurie from Scene of the Grime is helping me out today!
I am all over this idea-since I don't sew!
Thanks so much Laurie!
If you haven't been over to her house-you must check it out!
GUEST POST: No-Sew Minute Shrug
Hi, my name is Laurie and I’m the Domestic Detective over at my blog, Scene of the Grime. I’m guest posting for Tausha today and so honored to do so. Sassy Style is one of my fave blogs!
My 10 year old daughter and I always stop by the fabric remnant bin when we’re at WalMart and we always find cool fabric to use for crafting and design. All the pieces are 1 yard or less. We’ve found denim, canvas, cotton duck cloth and cool-patterned filmy pieces as well. Occasionally, my girl (who’s a fashion diva) will design a garment for herself using remnants. This time, we came up with something together that either of us can use ► a super cool, totally easy-to-make shrug. Here’s how we did it:
1-Lay out your yard or so of fabric (filmy, chiffony type works best for this):
2-Then, you’ll have this and it’s done!
3-To wear the shrug, put one arm through one tied end; then, wrap fabric around your back and put your other arm through the other tied opening.
This one looks cute with a black tank and skirt. So, for about $1 and in under a minute, you’ve got a super cute accessory! So cheap and easy you could have a dozen!
Chronically Yours, Laurie
