The FrAmE GaMe!

I kind of have an obsession with frames.
I love them-not matter the shape or size.
In fact-the funkier the better.

So...do you want to see what I did with some of my frames?
(I must first apologize-it's dark and stormy and some of the pics are in my hall in bathroom-there is not one little spec of light in there-so I had to use the flash)

I also have a love for funky, skeleton keys.
This is another quirk that my husband rolls his eyes at.
Whatever.
I like my crap!

So-I love keys, but they are kind of hard to display.
This is what I did...

I have told you how much I love this stuff-
Well-I continue to love it.
Almost daily. -I think I have a problem.

Well-I glued my funky, skeleton keys to the glass of the frame.
It needed a little kick-so I added some button.
I love buttons too.
I just added some scrapbook paper to the frame and I was done.
It needed a home-so what do you think about this one?

This would be super cute if you had a collection of keys from old homes, apartments or maybe even your first car.
It would be darling if you labeled them-or maybe even include a pic.
That would be super cute.
One of you do it-then show me your pic of the finished project.
I don't have any old keys-so I have to live vicariously through you.

So...I mentioned I loved frames-I use them in all kinds of ways-

Empty-painted a bright fun color. I just nailed a small finishing nail to the frame to attach the star too.
(this is Mediterranean blue from valspar)

How about a focal point in a room.

(sorry about the glare)

Shadow box frame-you could put anything in these.
I chose to use some old glasses.
This would be a great way to display your old glasses or maybe your Grandma's or Moms.

(this frame was $4 at Hobby Lobby)

I also love to put vinyl on frames.
Super simple cheap and big impact.

So..what can you do with a frame?
Make sure to show me!
I would love to see!!

Tausha

  1. Love them all...I bought some framed skeleton keys at my local auction a few months ago AND 2 huge keys too. I have a thing for them too. I haven't put hem anywhere yet, but I am thinking of a clever display for them! Hope this is a fabulous week for ya!

There are few decor items more versatile than a frame. You use them expertly.

  17. What a nifty idea. It kind of reminds me of Rachel and Monica's apartment on Friends, where they framed the peephole on their door. Super cute.
