1 o'clock, 2 o'clock, 3 o'clock, ROCK!

Some  might  say that I have a problem, some say I have a gift.
I like to think  that it's a gift!
So-I thought that I would share one of my latest finds.
See this huge old clock?
That is my 7 holding it.
Huge huh?
I didn't love the pinkyness of the clock, so I experimented.
I inked it with brown and black ink.  I still didn't like it.
(are you starting to see a pattern here-you know with me not liking things-see CRACK post for even more proof)
Anyway-I then used one of the greatest inventions on the planet.
Sample size paint-in a lovely chocolate color. It was $3.
I have used this little can of paint more times than I can count.

See-the 3 dollar paint is one of those must have items. I tend to turn to it more often than not.
Now, isn't it much better?
I happened to have some giant hands that I picked up from an outlet store here.
It also came with great big, wonderful, fun, wooden numbers that I have yet to find a use for. (don't worry-I will)
Here she is hanging on the wall. I know, I know, there is nothing else on the walls.  This lovely clock hangs all by it's lonesome.  I HATE the color of this room. HATE it! It makes the
room seem soo dark.
I know what you are thinking, why don't I  just paint it?
That is an excellent question.  Truthfully, I can't decide on a color. I am leaning towards a great color called tavern taupe on all the walls except for one. The color wall..maybe a mustard color.
What do you think?
Do you a fantastic idea for this huge, massive, blank canvas of a family room?
I would love some help.

Anyway...moral of this post, you neve know what you can find for $3 dollars! Happy Thrifting!

Make sure you go and check out these awesome ideas!!

  6. What an awesome find! I love it with the brown patina. I think I would have left it without hands and used it as art a la pottery barn style, but it's awesome either way! Good job!
