Pillow PART-AY!

So...I think I was having a malfunction last night. A crafting malfunction. I couldn't quite stop creating. Some would say that this is not a problem, but when you have other things that you should be doing it is a malfunction.

These little pillows were part of the craftiness that happened the other night.
I wanted to try my hand at using felt.
So, I got out my scraps and my needle and thread and got to it.
This what I came up with.
I just whip stitched some strips of fabric and then pulled them tight. I kind of got this flower thing. I quite liked it, so I made three more.
I used colors that would match my bedroom.
I just hot glued them to a pillow that I already had.
I think it took me 5 minutes from start to finish.

This little beauty was inspired by the dollar store.
Don't you love crafts that involve those two words.
All you need now is to add thrift into the mix and I am in heaven.
Well-the pillow came from the thrift store. fifty cents-still in the plastic.
The petals-dollar store. I believe that they are part of the Valentine decor stuff.
They come in a package of 300-
I used half a bag.
I just hot glued the petals on to the pillow. It took a little bit of time, but I love the results.
7 already claimed it as her own.
These little flower pillows would be super cute in any color.
I know that the dollar store carries the petals in pink, red and white.

I am also having a little party of my own.
Today is my birthday!
(Is it weird that I am telling you that?)
I love my birthday and I have this weird thing that everyone should celebrate.
You know, like a national holiday of sorts.
So, hopefully while you are reading this I am out shopping with my mom and sister and eating good food.
Isn't that what we all do on our birthday?
