Paper...It's not just for coloring anymore!

So, I have an addiction.
No, it's not what you're thinking.
Unless of course, you are thinking Diet Coke and chocolate.
My main addiction is PAPER!
I love all kinds.
I love the colors, textures, pretty much paper of all sorts.
One small problem with this addiction, I don't scrapbook.
Or, make cards or cute little tags like my fabulous friend Bonnie.
So, I had to come up with something else to do with ALL of this paper that I have accumulated.
Why not put my two loves together-paper and decorating.

This is some of the fun, little things that I have come up with.
A regular, old, metal barn star
I just redid it with paper in everyday colors, so our client could keep it up year round.
Although, a little bit of seasonal paper would be super cute as well.
I hung it on a wreath holder to give it some height and add some funk in the way to hang it.
Who says that stars have to be hung on walls?

I also am a thrift shop lover!
I love all things thrift store.
I love the thrill of the hunt and the opportunity to redo the ugly into something freakin fabulous!
This was a broken lantern that I picked up at the thrift store for $2 bucks!!
If was even Pier One!
I took some cardboard and cut it to fit so I would have something to adhere the paper too.
I spray painted the whole lantern and roughed up the edges.

I did all 4 of the sides with a different, coordinating paper.

So....what do you think?
Do you have something that you could paper and give new life to?
I am going to look around my house, just so I can have an excuse to go the scrapbook store.
Good thing my favorite scrapbook store sells Diet Coke as well! :)
Happy Papering!!
P.S.-I forgot to mention-all "adhering" was done with Modge Podge
